Aglika Petrova is a teacher with master degree “Innovations in the Preschool Education”, acquired in “Konstantin Preslavski University of Shumen” and bachelor degree “Exploitation of Maritime Ships and Fleet”, acquired in Technical University, Varna.
Her experience includes variety of positions which required multitasking, self motivation, highly-adaptation and team work. But only after her daughter was born in 2009, did she discover her greatest inspiration – children!
In 2014 she started teaching English in kindergartens for “Labirint “ - an organization that offered English and Art classes in different kindergartens in Varna.
In the period 2015 – 2017 she works as an English teacher with pupils between 4 and 11 years in “Britanica School Centre”. During her work there she is impressed by the learning process and perception - “absorption” of the information by the children, especially very young ones. Later she understands that exactly Maria Montessori’s three period lesson was used!
In the period 2017-2019, she works as a preschool teacher in a Montessori kindergarten in Varna, in a multicultural Montessori group using both English and Bulgarian languages, working with children from 3 to 6 years of age.
In 2017 Aglika takes part in a Montessori Educational Conference "Children's Development in the Social Environment", organized by the Montessori Institute of Bulgaria.
Convinced that the Montessori Method is the only way of teaching and supporting the child’s development, Aglika is still learning and developing her skills as a Montessori teacher.
At the current moment she is taking a course - Montessori Method for children from 0 to 6 years and Montessori Method for children with special educational needs from the “Montessori Hand in Hand Association” (member of Montessori Europe and the Pacific Northwest Montessori Association).
